What a confusing message. Real biblical faith is BELIEF IN THE TRUTH. It definitely includes mental assent to certain doctrines. The certain doctrines are the Gospel of which I am not ashamed. For God has chosen the foolishness of preaching to save those who are sinners. Sinners know who God is. They know that He is perfect in character. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. They do not have to drum up some confidence in Him. You can only trust in the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ for your sins, just like it is prophesied in the Old Testament. I know you're really smart Bob. But it doesn't take any intelligence to trust in the God who died on the Cross to make you his son.

Faith is the assurance of things hoped for the conviction of things "not" seen. So, if you want God to repent and not bring the calamity He is bringing upon us you will have to use a better apologetic than that.
