The CC's and Co. Commissioners do what they want - advised by their attorneys "not to engage" with you - during "Citizen Comments",....! They also are advised by the League of Municipalities, Ne. Association of County Officials,..., all belong to National Org's (%01(c) 3's no doubt - and pay dues, attend their mtgs. - on your tax dollars. Here they get info on how to avoid "Citizen Input" , with tactis like "Consent Agendas",...., time limits, even removing "Citizen Comments"!

Read and understand the Ne Open Meetings Act! I refer to it often at the DC Board! Can't at the Omaha City Council - as there is no "Citizen Comments" Period - and if you object to anything your are ordered out - of the Chamber, sometimes the building! By a Law enforcement Officer - you pay for! But no crime was committed!!! Except theirs!

They also pay lobbyists, with our tax dollars , to do work for them - often against the will of the "Electors" - We the People! I am only one against Seven little Indians, the Peanut Gallery if you will! And only two or three other "Citizens" routinely show Up! Their "Engagement is snide, rude, untrue remarks about you after you leave the podium. Not to mention the crude facial grimmacing, eye rolling, .... , if they pay attn. at all!!!

By all means free "free" to keep reelecting and endorsing your tyrannical representatives - "Loyalists" to whom???

Dear Robert,

I always appreciate your comments, both those you express in public, and those I read online.

I read your recent message regarding the Kearney City Council's Resolution. Thank you. The fight is not over... The meeting is tonight and it looks like the revised Resolution is ready to approve as revised, before public comments, IF they are allowed. Most decisions the Council makes are made before the meetings, behind closed doors.

Can you someday tell me the difference between a Law, a Resolution, and a Mandate?

It would be interesting to read your comments on that topic.

Thank you,

Peg

"the difference between a Law, a Resolution, and a Mandate" as far as

- how binding and

- whether violations can be misdemeanors or felonies charged on the spot

- whether arrest of violators would be legal

Get ready for January 5! I do hope ALL of you think seriously of filing as a candidate for elected office. You have no obligation to actually RUN for it--filing just ensures your name will be on the ballot. Yes, I do draw a distinction between filing and running. The act of filing merely tells God you're available to Him without obligating yourself beyond that other then filing simple financial reports (keep track of all monetary and in-kind contributions). Your cost to file for most offices is little or nothing, and if you consider yourself indigent (I think they use the word pauper; nothing to be ashamed of, if it applies) it can be waived. The January 5 date is for Nebraska.

I paid 850 to file for SoS, and 1050 to file for governor. That was nearly $2,000 out of my pocket.

I knew you are very aware of the statewide offices costs, but I have yet to see any local offices be more than a fraction of that. God bless you for that, too!
