Dear Friends,
There was no letter yesterday because I didn’t have time. My feet “hit the floor running.”
First up on my list yesterday was making an announcement about my selection for a running mate (Robert Bernt) on Twister Radio with Jim Lambley.
After the announcement, Mr. Bernt joined Mr. Lambley on the air for his own interview. Give a listen, and hear what Mr. Bernt had to say. I think you’ll love him. (Click link below and then click the arrow to get to the interview.)

Next up on my list was driving to Kearney for a 12:00 pm in-person interview with Melanie Standiford out of North Platte. Incredible woman. Stand by for a link to that interview in the next day or two.
After getting back home between 4 and 4:30 I took my wife to dinner.
After that, I engaged in a little social media banter (I rarely bother with people who just want to heckle, just sincere seekers).
I was given the following challenge (a friend tagged me so I could respond):
This was my response:
And here was the challenger’s response back to me:
After that, some misinformation was brought to my attention that was being put out by one of our county election offices (namely Scotts Bluff County), so the last thing I did before going to bed last night was write this letter to every member of our executive and legislative branches (I’ve deleted paragraph spacing):
Members of our Executive and Legislative Branches,
The Election Division of our Secretary of State's office has failed to properly train our county election offices on simple election law.
It has been reported to me by several voters that their respective county election offices are telling voters that a last-name-only write-in vote will not be counted. This is in violation of https://nebraskalegislature.gov/laws/statutes.php?statute=32-1005 .
In Scotts Bluff County, that verbal misinformation (that a last-name-only write-in vote would not be counted) was backed up with this printed misinformation that was included in the ballot envelope (notice the second paragraph):
Who of you in our state government is going to act as a check and balance and hold the Secretary accountable for this maladministration???
I'm expecting an answer. I already visited the SoS office last Friday and was assured this would be taken care of. Obviously not.
How is it this problem even arose? Do we have brand new county election clerks and commissioners????
I trow not. Our election clerks and commissioners aren't new, and this statute isn't new.
Someone please advise.

The SoS office is openings themselves up to a lawsuit.

Moving on.
The war we are in is coming to a head:
Democrats are trying to create a false narrative around the upcoming election, (which is one reason why we may see a delay):

vote in such a way that you don’t have to hold your nose
And in that one post you have proof that the NEGOP fear mongering is working. And the laughable further fear mongering that voting for Bob might 'split the vote' and usher in an age of decline is must more of the same fear mongering.
"I would like nothing better than to vote for Mr. Borer but...." To distill what follows, he'd rather vote for a corrupt Republican than a corrupt Democrat. The guy knows Pillen is weak. That he's a corrupt puppet dancing on some else's strings. Still voting for corruption, right? But the corruption will have the right letter next to their name. Pillen has already demonstrated that he's compromised. But it's too hard to break out of the NEGOP corruption so we'll just smile and nod.
Might we fail? Yes. To paraphrase Teddy Roosevelt: At least we failed while daring. So that we are never counted among those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat. Jim Pillen winning the governorship is not a victory.
Praying for you and for Nebraskans to support you.
