It’s a sad and pitiful testimony that our leaders and legislators are so (willfully?) ignorant of this truth. What’s even more disturbing is that we, as citizens, have been lulled into a comatose state and neglect our own responsibility for the awareness of these issues. We better wake up. ‘The handwriting is on the wall’!
Excellent Sir! It's maybe to late for "we the people" to "PROPOSE" Amendments to the Constitution - we appear to have not been able to keep our "...Unique, Compound, Constitutional, Republic..." Every thing seems to be "our democracy"!.
I like Chris Anne Hall - mbut the State of Nebraska did not! That includes many of the "So called" Second House" and the "Conservative Coalition ..... in Nebraska - claimed by Mr. Doug Kagan (NE taxpayers for freedom(?), As with others - including myself - she was derided and excommunicated from the powers in this state.
She was here a few years ago - teaching about the Constitution (I attended in Millard Ne.). She also went to the State Capital (to testify re:...?). Something she said disagreed with certain Ne conservatives? I belive it was around the time of a "So called" Conservative day at the Legislature, when the Convention of States was a hot topic, and defeated by progressives from out of state! The COS.org people were in town, as was a liberal lady from Nevada, brought in by a western Ne. Senator (So called Eagle Forum Ladies(?) among others to convince everyone that Article V would be another out of control Constitutional Convention!
I'll skip the middle part of this story....., but the "So Called" Conservative Coaliton (whom I have never been able to find a list of) an others that do not understand the Constitution (or are against it) - pulled the same trick on me - Howe's that for upholding the Oath and the First Amendment? Doug Kagan and those Omaha area COS sheeple that were at the Capital recently (as were you) are not whom they claim to be.
And the current COS Resolution ???? in NE is off base - needs to be stricken/withdrawn!
