A party like you described is the Uniparty. A fake opposition to Satan’s party to put up just enough resistance to make it appear as if they are opponents. Then, when things really matter, fold and align with Satan fully and give the “opposition” everything they wanted in the first place.
It will be better for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgement than for them. Jesus is extremely clear what he thinks about wolves in sheep’s clothing.
If I may add to your comments, I am increasingly aware of the necessity to restore the "House" portion ("We the People") back to the Unicameral. We need checks and balances restored to the State Legislature. No one can do that better than us. Yet, once we have forfeited the power to the Unicameral, how can we possibly get the power back?
