Watched YOU Bob. GBU! I could not watch all of the video you included! I'm burned out on all the evidence the elected one will not listen too nor acknowledge! I tried again today at the very long Douglas County Board of Commissars (https://commissioners.douglascounty-ne.gov/board-meetings/videos 10/15 /24). No opportunity during the B of E portion, nor taken during the B of C. But the topics of Grants, For youth programs, and a long "Presentation" of the "State of Homelessness in Douglas County (NE) and obviously Nationally (presented much testimony and long self serving Discussions??? by most Commissioners!
By the way that Pretty Lady that spoke earlier on "Homelessness", got better reception from them. We don't get to see their faces when you address them! How's that?
I thanked Commissioner our Cavanaugh on two occasions for speaking to the issues ( once pulled from their Consent Agenda - we don't have "Citizens Comments" , and ON the agenda item (Presentation) - which then allowed comments from underlings like myself. All in all it went better than usual, but!. I can't summarize it all here but I was cut off and pleasantly escourted by a much more personable , Sheriffs Deputy, before I could finish - which I tried with them briefly - after the mtg. was closed. Ya just have to watch (if you ever have time).
They will not entertain the topic of the election fraud, nor what happens when they can't fund the additonal

I'm just now reviewing the entire mtg. I think I gave then "the business" in a "Common sense" way! Surprisingly I got by with more than usual before getting interrupted and removed from the podium (I do believe that others got more time!)! But we did shake hands afterwards, and I pose the ? about the influx of illegals and ......! Apparently they wil not entertain that as a problem???
Anyway, I'm at 1 hr 22 min 25 secs, and again at 2 hrs 27 min ( where you could not here my suggestion that they use the monster busses and RR Yards, Boxcars to house illegals and homless, then they can ....! Omaha used to have rails all over the area, and lots of big developeable blgs, intom"low income housing"!! Guess people are spoiled nowadays.

The interesting thing is their worries about what the legislature will do to them, but they are not concerned about all the grant $, Federal $, that fund their less than successful programs, disappearing - then what do they do , when everyone wants their usual funding that there is no $ for except Property taxes. (P.S. folllow the *&*^&^%$# over TIF financing - between the State Auditor and the Mayor!!!
