Dear Friends,
I “stumbled” upon this article by KrisAnne Hall entitled The Unbiased Truth About Political Parties.
Below are some quotes (bold face is me highlighting). To read the entire article, go to the link above.
Political Parties are not government. We seem to be very confused on this fact quite regularly. But knowing this is essential to keeping the proper perspective on elections.
The Republican Party is not government. The Democrat Party is not government. Both parties are private corporate clubs.
The problem is NOT that theses private corporate clubs require party loyalty. The problem is that these private corporate clubs hold quasi-governmental power! The problem is that people mistake these private corporate clubs for government entities.
Ever thought how ridiculous it is that a private corporate club has the power to dictate where, when, and how we vote? Ever realized that an election primary is not a civic function, but the choosing of the representative of that private corporate club? Ever think how tyrannical it is that all Americans are forced to fund primary elections of private corporate clubs to choose their representatives?
Ever thought how absurd it is that a private corporate club can decide which laws we have and don’t have? Ever thought how outrageous it is that a private corporate club can determine who will be our representative, governor, or president?
That is exactly what happens when the people take up loyalty to a political party. That is exactly what happens when government is run by establishment party politics. Think about it. How many laws are debated on the platform of party? How many decisions are made in government based upon party politics?
“We cannot support that because the Dems…”
“We must pass this because the Republicans…”
“We cannot pass because the Republicans won’t…”
“We must support this person or law because it’s a Republican…”
If we actually grab hold of this reality, we might better understand why we are strung along from election to election. Remember in the 2010 election that the mantra was “take back the House.” All we need is a Republican majority in the House, and we will change the world. We gave it to them. What changed? Then the demand in 2014 was, “We must have a Republican majority in the Senate to stop this out of control president!” We gave it to them, and nothing changed. Then we heard something along the lines of: “We can’t change anything unless you give us a Republican President.” After 8 years of being strung along, can we see any difference in the operation of our government in the Legislative, Executive, or Judicial Branches? During each election, on my radio show I ask our listeners to make a list of things they want “their candidate” to accomplish if elected. Pull out your list. Has anything changed? Have they reduced spending or debt? Have the every even passed a real budget? Have they begun to respect the rights of the people or the limits of government required by the Constitution?
The Constitutional reality is that if Americans want reduced spending, to get a budget passed, or to reduce government as a whole, all we need is a Constitutionally-minded House majority. We don’t need private corporate club unity throughout the entire government. The only reason for total party control is total political power, not the rights of people.
…our presidential elections have become nothing but one private political club consolidating all government power within their corporate leadership, and the other private corporate club just waiting for their turn. It is nothing but prostituting for power. That’s why nothing ever changes. Each party understands there is simply a shift in whose turn it is. The power the other party accumulates, is a power they will in turn exercise. So if they eliminate power for the other party, they also eliminate power for themselves. It doesn’t not serve either’s interest to reduce power, spending, or control. Consequently, they assume the posturing of conflict to convince the people there is a battle, when in fact, both parties are battling for the exact same thing… more power, more control, more personal wealth.
George Washington warned us about this very consolidation of power in his farewell address:
The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of public liberty.
Finally, here are the REAL questions we must answer: Why will the people be more upset about a private corporate club requiring their membership to be loyal to the club than they are by the fact that our laws are made and our government is run by private corporate clubs? —>When will we start choosing candidates based upon their Constitutional qualifications and character instead of the color of their party?
—KrisAnne Hall
…and again, I offer this short clip on the party system and party voting by Jesse Ventura. If you don’t have FB, find someone who does. All the party system does is cause division…and bring despotism. People can unite over a cause (like slavery) when the need arises, but that “unity” doesn’t need to turn into a permanent self-serving party, which the party system inherently is, in opposition to America-serving. It makes no sense to elect a RINO just because that’s all the party has. God doesn’t work that way. He wakes People up with adversity. Suffering the rule of RINOs is a slow death that no one wants, except other RINOs.

All very good thoughts, Bob--but-- HOW do we break their stranglehold on our government?
It's easy to ask, "When will we start choosing candidates based upon their Constitutional qualifications and character instead of the color of their party?"
It's far more challenging to implement. We've had this discussion on other posts as well in other ways. It would be easier if the politicians weren't so busy lying about who they really are when they're campaigning for office and instead told us the truth.
It would also be easier if they weren't willing to libel and slander other candidates AND TOTALLY MAKE DIRT UP (hi, Julie Slama!) to destroy their reputations and their chances of getting elected.
We're left with a serious political mess in the wake of the last gubernatorial election because of that.
Ricketts got what he wanted (a senate seat).
Pillen got what HE wanted (the governorship).
Julie Slama, the wasp queen of the Unicameral, and her evil horde of wasp sycophants clearly got what THEY wanted too--which was the destruction of a gubernatorial candidate's good name and reputation, and apparently his masculinity too. He's fallen into line with whatever those women want. He's learned his lesson: you can't fight them and win.
SIDENOTE: I want to take this opportunity to put a shout out to the Nebraska Family Association and THANK THEM SO MUCH for supporting Julie and the other mean girls in her clique and giving them this golden opportunity to destroy this candidate, who, as it turns out, IS ALSO PRO-LIFE. But maybe that only matters in political circles if you're a woman and you don't support Trump? Everyone needs to be asking the NFA some very pointed questions about whether they are STILL going to support everyone who participated in that smear job in the last election. There needs to be consequences!!!
Evnen ALSO got what he wanted--and smugly awarded himself 100% of the votes cast instead of being honest about how many were cast for other people who were NOT him.
And...Nebraskans have lost out big-time.
Notice Of Tort Claims like I'll be doing. (Wordsmithing help appreciated). Latest change is "commit voter intimidation by actually acting out implied threatening to handle my ballots selections irresponsibly by, in fact, proving they do intentionally dilute and/or handle anyone else's irresponsibly, which is also election terrorism"
We've learned from Rick Hill that a government body can't be taken to court without first taking a litigation avoidance step filing a Notice Of Tort Claim. How I'm trying to articulate mine is:
"
Even after decades of being allowed to manipulate election races in many jurisdictions they serve, the election terrorist organization ES&S admits once again to manipulating the Northampton County, PA judges race on November 7, 2023 (https://www.pahousegop.com/News/33162/Latest-News/Mackenzie-Issues-Statement-on-Voting-Machine-Fiasco-in-Northampton-County). Inasmuch as ES&S advertises 'We fulfill this mission by delivering the highest standards of accuracy, security, and reliability in our election products and services', no excuse can be tolerated for this continued breach of implied-in-fact duties/warranty and their substituting excuses in the media for sworn affidavit engineering assessments.
On that same election day
--Their machines failed in Dallas County, TX (https://dallasexpress.com/metroplex/exclusive-dallas-county-polling-books-down-on-election-day/) which county also had the machines process after polling place hours voters who didn't vote in November 2022. Their reckless and preposterous defense was that their 4G networked devices won't operate with the cellular network that allows 5G operation even though their products supposedly work fine without connectivity in MANY other election jurisdictions! Additionally for the second year in a row, their poll books in this county obviously processed voters improperly that didn't show up. (https://rumble.com/v3vkcqd-dallas-county-es-and-s-pollbooks-busted-adding-hundreds-of-voters-as-polls-.html)
...
Inasmuch as they are the nation's largest provider of election equipment and are still in violation of implied-in-fact contract in that they refuse to conduct themselves to the standard of accuracy that is easily attainable for a company of their size, not responding with the industry standard product engineering corrections to the many notices with they've been given over many elections of many past election race manipulations, obviously expecting to continue to get away with doing so ad infinitum and in so doing commit voter intimidation by actually acting out implied threatening to handle my ballots selections irresponsibly by, in fact, proving they do intentionally dilute and/or handle anyone else's irresponsibly, which is also election terrorism;
ES&S has neglected to come clean about their products' failures and are pretending to be no more sinister than simply stupidly tone-deaf, which is still unbecoming for a company of their size and thus violates their implied warranty;
Douglas County, State of Nebraska, and City of Omaha governing bodies, in dereliction of duty, give this traitorous insurrecting election terrorist, clear and present danger, and enemy of the People of the United States of America and/or of the State of Nebraska, ES&S unconscionable tolerance, favorable relations, licensure and a haven from which to conduct election manipulation ....
Remedy--
Watch and read with me/us the various incidents of ES&S election problems
ES&S (et al when applicable) must forthwith:
Self report all malfunctions and voter complaints, etc
Allow unfettered hand counting ballots prior to their insertions into machines
All es&s excuses must be sworn affidavits under penalty of breach of contract fraud
Prevent any official from making assertions about their products they themselves would not swear to under threat of lawsuit by es&s patterned after es&s suing anyone else that would make lies about them
Allow no more hand counts to overturn their results uncontested by absolute proof
Negotiations over this claim is intended to preclude litigation, so I/we will not have attorney representation present, nor will I/we be amenable to the attorneys that will be present being adversarial

Whether I get everything I demand is inconsequential to me. I'm simply trying to maintain pressure in ways they can't sleep through like they can in 5 minutes of Public Comment
