Ecclesiastes 8:9

All this have I seen, and have given my heart to every work which is wrought under the sun, and I saw a time that man ruleth over man to his own hurt.

8:9 Footnote

As cometh ofttimes to tyrants and wicked rulers.

Awesome Kearney event! 🎉. I’m wondering what with all the violations of state laws that no legal groups have agreed to take it on a pro bono case basis. You’d think the publicity possibilities would be enough incentive to have them aboard.

Let's do watch the Daniel Richard case.

And I think it is all-important who an election commissioner answers to. Since they are the only way for a county's voters to be in control of their cast votes, they have GOT to be answerable primarily to the voters alone of a county rather than in the pocket of elected officials whose names are on the ballots.

New/old thing here from New Hampshire 2020 -

"Harri Hursti: ... New Hampshire is using a principle called ballot rotation. So, not any place on a ballot has a political bias because the political parties between the jurisdictions are randomly organized. Also, if the same candidates are in multiple jurisdiction ballots, then the candidate orders are randomly organized. So, even if this would be somewhere else, it would have no political bias because everything is randomized between the jurisdictions." (https://www.nhpr.org/nh-news/2021-07-13/a-conspiracy-of-coincidences-ballot-folds-were-to-blame-in-windham-election-discrepancies)

yet Harri is responding to "The recount showed each of the four winning Republicans picking up about 300 votes and St. Laurent losing 99 votes, dropping [St. Laurent's] losing margin from just 24 votes to more than 400 votes." https://www.wmur.com/article/windham-election-auditors-confirm-folding-machine-issue-root-cause-of-discrepancy-between-vote-recount-totals/37012306

BOTH THESE STATEMENT ARE REFERRING TO THE SAME ELECTION, SAME TIME, SAME RACE! Oh, the idiocy of NHPR to not catch this!

Why do I bring this up now? Because on Nov 17 I was with Brian Kruse (Douglas County Election Commissioner), Wayne Bena (state Deputy SOS), et. al. as they demonstrated a couple audit technique ideas. When the audit had a discrepancy of a missing/misplaced ballot...wait for this...Brian happily proclaimed his suspicion of what was causing it. He was correct but showed NO DESIRE TO FIX THE PROBLEM! IOW, he wants to keep various and sundry defects in the audit path as shiny innocent distractions he can resort to in the day of fraud discovered by recounts..just like they did in New Hampshire above.
