I chuckled at communist mayor. I don't know how this city can be so blue when NE is red. It certainly does not seem like the vote is counted correctly.

I've often wondered that. Texas is red (I'm in Texas) and we got horrible democrats here that want Texas blue.

Part of that is because of low voter turnout for off-year elections. But--yeah--it certainly comes off as highly suspicious.

"... the president has ordered that databases that are held by the federal government concerning citizenship status be opened up and made available to the states at no cost ...". I and everyone else who has the voter files needs to file a PRR for SURE for access to this!

email address to do so is GOV.PublicRecords@nebraska.gov

Here is mine, sent a few minutes ago:

Subject: PRR for access to the State's view of "databases that are held by the federal government concerning citizenship status"

Presidential Executive Order[s] have opened up to Nebraska certain "databases that are held by the federal government concerning citizenship status" [of registered voters], according to Secretary of State Evnen in a recent interview on radio station KODY. Under the Nebraska Public Records Statutes, Neb. Rev. Stat. §§ 84-712 through 84-712.09, I request access to said "databases". Please provide to me in reply that access and further directions that I and anyone else should follow to put our access to said databases into use effectively.

Thank you, and God bless you!

Dear Mr. Anderson,

I am writing in response to your correspondence received in our office on April 10, 2025, in which you request certain records under the Nebraska Public Records Statutes, Neb. Rev. Stat. §§ 84-712 through 84-712.09 (2014, Cum. Supp. 2022). Specifically, you have requested the following:

Request for access to Nebraska’s view of databases that are held by the federal government concerning citizenship status.

Please note that Nebraska’s public records laws require that requests for public records be submitted in writing to the custodian of records being sought. The records listed above are not records of or belong to the Nebraska Governor’s Office, nor is this office the lawful custodian of the records. Consequently, we have no records that are responsive to your request.

Sincerely,

Breanna Wirth

Director of Constituent Relations

Office of Governor Jim Pillen

This week, I wrote the White House about this issue and about how we're being denied transparency and accountability from our elected officials related to our elections here in Nebraska.

I encourage you to write the White House too. Explain why it's important that Nebraska, just like any other state, should have free and fair elections, and no black boxes messing with our votes.
