So who’s “splitting the vote” now?? I’ll tell you who. The same people who have been splitting the vote since the state convention: Ricketts and the new NEGOP leadership. (Ricketts actually started splitting it before the Primary.)

Patriots never wanted Jimmy Ricketts Pillen.

Pillen has very little sincere support in the 3rd District. (All of his alleged “support” is nothing more than fear-based opposition to Blood). I just got another call this morning, from an outstate (rural) group, looking for someone else to vote for besides Pillen. I’ll be speaking to them soon.

Moral courage. It's in short supply everywhere. From Terry Wagner to the LPD officers acting as Leirion's Waffen SS. It's one thing to take an oath and quite another to actually live by it. The oath of office is just words that are easy to mouth as long as you don't have to risk anything (or don't truly believe in) for the ideals embodied in it. Physical courage is required to be the sheriff or a police officer. So is moral courage. The two should be inextricably linked. Failure to demonstrate both should cost you your employment. I distinctly remember being told in basic training as a private that if I received an order than ran counter to the Constitution, it was my sworn duty (as embodied in the oath I took) to disobey that order. That message was repeated throughout my time in the military and really hammered home when I became a commissioned officer because not only was I receiving orders, I was charged with giving them as well. Same thing with the fear mongering by the NEGOP around Pillen. They simply cannot fathom that people actually believe what they believe and are willing to practice moral courage by voting for someone other than Captain Milquetoast. Faced with that reality, they fall back on their own moral cowardice and fear monger. Moral cowardice abounds. Don't be surprised by it. Just don't practice it.

Thank you, John. I’m voting for the Libertarian for Sheriff. He has more fight in his little finger than Wagner has in his entire body. We’re not going to reward a weakling who has no desire to serve the people.

It’s time to quit rewarding the NEGOP for giving us “nominees” who suck a little bit less (allegedly) than their Democrat counterpart.

The only way to vote with integrity is to vote your values. Voting out of fear and in opposition to an alleged greater evil is not voting with integrity.

A supporter sent this text:

Election offices around the state have been telling people their write-in vote for me won’t count unless they write in my full name.

That is NOT true and contrary to state law. See for yourself here.

The fact is, my last name is sufficient.

I covered all of this with the Secretary’s office months ago.

Because of receiving reports like the text above, I decided to stop into our SoS office last Friday.

I spoke with both Wayne Bena, Deputy SoS of Elections, and Andrew Buller, Assistant Deputy for Elections. They both assured me they would take care of this.

But the question remains, why don’t our county election offices already know the simple fact that my last name is sufficient??? None of our election officials was recently elected. They have been doing the job (allegedly) for some time.

Bena tried to make it sound like it was already part of their process to let election offices know, before the election, that my last name is sufficient, and that they just hadn’t gotten around to it yet.

My response was, “Why don’t they already know?? The people running these offices aren’t novices, are they?? They weren’t installed yesterday, were they??” (Sting)

What does this tell us about how one of our most important offices in our government (the office that administers our elections) is being run?????

I’ll tell you what it tells us. It tells us it is being run very poorly!

The maladministration in our elections is obvious…and criminal.
