Dear Friends,
See here for part 1. It’s the second half of yesterday’s letter under the subtitle:
the “competing” abortion initiates (434 and 439).
In short review, 434 is a ballot initiative measure that would add a Section to Article I of our Nebraska State Constitution that would read as follows:
I-31. [no title decided yet, that I have found]
Except when a woman seeks an abortion necessitated by a medical emergency or when the pregnancy results from sexual assault or incest, unborn children shall be protected from abortion in the second and third trimesters.
“[S]hall be protected”? By who??
”[I]n the second and third trimesters [only]”? Why??
While this initiative claims to largely prohibit abortion after the first trimester, it does no such thing. As I said yesterday, it is easy to find a medical doctor who is willing to justify an abortion based on an alleged “medical emergency” or “sexual assault.”
This initiative would allow for the destruction and brutal dismemberment of preborn babies throughout pregnancy.
Worse yet, it would etch abortion "rights" into our State Constitution.
The big question today is WHY?
Why would the “pro-life” community propose such a thing?
They don’t appear to be consistent with their values.
In some circumstances, it’s okay to murder innocent life??
It would seem to me that a real pro-life community would stick with adoption as the solution to unwanted pregnancies in advanced stages, over barbaric mutilation/dismemberment practices that only degenerate our community sensibilities.
It would seem to me that a real pro-life community would promote contraception over murder. I know contraception is controversial with some members of the Christian community, but it’s not murder. No where close.
Promiscuity is a huge problem because our corrupt public “school” system promotes it.
It seems that certain members of our “pro-life” community benefit from always kicking the can down the road rather than boldly trying to solve it. If they were to codify adoption and promote contraception over circumstance-based murder, would they still have a job? Do they really want to solve the problem?
Up until the 1800s, nearly every abortion was an early private herbal abortion. It wasn’t until the 1970s that late public barbaric surgical abortion began to increase in popularity and “safety” after Roe v Wade. Prior to [that], abortifacient herbs were as strong an option as any other when considering abortion.
^^That’s a modified quote from an article titled:
Drink Me and Abort Your Baby: The Herbal Abortion Tea
We need to abolish (outlaw) ALL barbaric public (public-approved) abortions. There have always been early private options for people, in the privacy of their homes, that we can’t control.
Vote NO and NO.
NO to 434 and NO to 439.

In closing, here were my spontaneous opening thoughts as I gave myself to prayer this morning:
I come to you, Lord.
I trust in You.
I delight myself in You.
Your lovingkindness is better than life.
I find my shelter beneath the shadow of your wings.
You have been a strong tower from the enemy.
I wait on you.

God is real. His presence is real. We just have to come before Him and give Him some time and attention. A day in His presence is better than a thousand away from His presence. An hour in His presence is better than a thousand away from His presence.

I'm sorry but the above comment makes no sense, they each pass or fail on their own merit 🤔
God Bless You Bob!
