4 quick items.

NE senators apparently took an oath to a Constitution they never read. I sent the following to the HHS Committee yesterday (today…this afternoon…they are conducting a hearing on LB421):

Dear Health and Human Services Committee Members,
I am writing in opposition to LB421. 
It is both misguided and extra-constitutional.
Senator Kauth says, "No unelected bureaucrat should be able to restrict freedoms."
What she fails to recognize is that no body of "elected officials" should be able to restrict freedoms either. 
Article I-1 of our State Constitution, the supreme law of Nebraska, makes it very clear:
”All persons are by nature free and independent, and have certain inherent and inalienable rights; among these are life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and the right to keep and bear arms ..... and such rights shall not be denied or infringed by the state or any subdivision thereof. To secure these rights, and the protection of property, governments are instituted among people, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.”
Elected officials (and bodies thereof) are just as prone to tyranny as bureaucrats. Opening the door, through bad legislation, to unconstitutional decisions and actions by "elected" officials only gives those decisions and actions an appearance of legitimacy they wouldn't otherwise have through bureaucratic channels. In other words, Senator Kauth is aiding and abetting the enemy, albeit inadvertently. Good intentions aren't enough. The enemy would love nothing more than to spread the responsibility for tyranny amongst its members.
All legislation needs to be written in light of our Constitution. Writing "laws" contrary to our Constitution is a betrayal of the legislator's oath.

The Lancaster Co Republican Party (LCRP) just legitimized covid tyranny with a resolution by their Central Committee. Quoting:

WHEREAS, the Committee believes the COVID-19 pandemic emergency declaration has allowed the government to impose severe restrictions on the daily lives and activities of the citizens of our county, and that these restrictions have had a significant impact on their physical and mental well-being, as well as on the local economy;

Pardon me. The bogus “emergency declaration” didn’t allow government to set aside our Constitution and impose severe restrictions on the daily lives and activities of our citizens. The citizens of Lincoln allowed it! Many of whom claim to be freedom-loving.
(I, for one, never participated in the nazi covid restrictions, and I never will. I openly defied them.)

The LCRP resolution also said:

WHEREAS, the emergent need to take swift and emergency action by the executive branch of local government has passed.

Again, pardon me. There was never any “emergency need”! There never was a "pandemic.” There was only a plandemic. Huge difference. Let’s get this right.

P.S. God is still pouring out his Spirit upon all flesh in these last days. Read the first seven chapters of Acts…all the way to, and through, Stephen’s amazing and impromptu speech in chapter seven. Don’t get distracted by the very intelligible “other tongues” that were spoken. The marks of an outpouring of God’s Spirit are an intelligible and tangible presence of a holy God, that brings deep and spontaneous repentance, or judgment. This is the only thing that’s going to turn our world upside down…or should I say, turn our upside-down world right side up. Such an outpouring doesn’t come without seeking Him. We need a real move of God. Such has happened numerous times throughout our history. But hundreds of years can go by without it happening, because the reality is that a hundred years…one lifetime…is a very short period of time, and people tend to live on memories, rather than in the moment.
