…they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isa 40:31
Dear Friends,
It goes without saying that we live in a very busy, very complicated and very corrupt world (where the order of the day is the love of money, and we all know where the love of money takes a person—”into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.” ITi6:9 … But I digress.)
The worst part of it, for Christians, in my opinion, is the “very busy” part. Our minds can become so busy. Never before in history has so much demanded our attention.
But even in Jesus’ day, it was easy for the mind to get too “busy” (distracted and anxious and troubled):
Now as they went on their way, Jesus entered a village. And a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet and listened to his teaching. But Martha was distracted with much serving. And she went up to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me.” But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.” (Luk 10:38-42)
The big question is, how do we successfully navigate this very *busy, complicated and corrupt world, as children of God.
The answer is, by putting on the brakes and waiting upon the Lord.
But what does it mean to wait upon the Lord??
Good question.
Years and years ago, I was going through a very trying time, and I was desperate to hear from God. It was at that time that I found out how very little I really knew about prayer. I engaged in what I thought was prayer, but my “prayers” were very repetitious (to say the least) and I felt like I was getting nowhere (after several weeks of “prayer”).
God must have seen my difficulty, because for some reason, the idea came to me to open the book of Psalms, the Bible’s prayer book, and see how David prayed.
I was fascinated by how unpretentious, informal and unceremonial David was in his prayers (i.e., his talking to God). He didn’t bore God with empty repetition. He spoke from his heart. He was very real and raw and honest with God about how he felt. He prayed with humility, sincerity and emotion, just like Jesus did (not contrived emotion, mind you).
After all, God is a real person with emotion.
Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder. And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. Mat 26:36-39
So also Christ glorified not himself…in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared [reverenced His Father]; Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him. Heb 5:5-9
Mindless repetitious “praying” is not praying. It is not fellowship with God.
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Mat 6:7
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. … the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth [i.e., not by virtue of physical location but by virtue of offering Him their whole heart and mind]: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Joh 4:21-24
But how does one “wait upon the Lord” in a way that renews their strength??
The answer is simple. By waiting. Not idle waiting, but active waiting. By getting quiet and still before the Lord and being patient.
Be still, and know that I am God. Psa 46:10
Our busy minds just need time to wind down.
Once we still our minds, we can then enter into fellowship with God. God longs for that fellowship. And that fellowship renews and strengthens us.
A still mind before God in prayer is a mind God can talk to, and impart understanding and guidance to.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Pro 3:5-6

We are headed into another day of prayer and fasting for our country. Join us if you can. Fasting is a great way to help slow your mind down so you can enter into prayer and fellowship with God. Instead of thinking about a 100 different things, your mind only wants to think about one thing—food, and that’s easy to deal with. You just say to yourself, “No, I’m not eating today,” and then you redirect your physical hunger into a hunger for more of God.
I’ll leave you with the following. It’s a Public Records Petition I sent to our Attorney General yesterday:
AG's Office-
NRS 84-712.01(3) states, in part, "the citizens of this state shall have the full right to know of and have full access to information on the public finances of the government and the public bodies and entities created to serve them."
What good does it do for citizens of this state to "have the full right to know of and have full access to information on the public finances of the government and the public bodies and entities created," when we can't have full access to the information that verifies that "government" was legitimately placed in power to begin with, before it ever commenced spending our money??
In other words, such information is completely meaningless if we can't use it to hold "government" accountable by kicking it out at the next election (because the next "election" doesn't have any integrity or validity to it).
Why are public election vote-counts being conducted in secret by secret software?? The idea is absurd on its face.
NE public election offices were created to serve the citizens of this state.
Every county election official in NE has denied the citizens of this state access to the information we need more than any other, i.e., the information necessary to know that our computerized vote-counts are honest. (I know. I filed the requests. I have the rejections.)
Nothing is more important to representative government than knowing that our representatives were truly chosen by the People, and not by some private software engineer.
What am I talking about? I'm talking about public election digital "tally" records.
The SoS's computerized scanner/tabulators simultaneously scan the front and back of each paper ballot for conversion of voter selection marks to an electronic cast vote record. Allegedly. See page 3 of the Certificate of Conformance found here.
The tally of all cast vote records is what we call our "election results."
Electronic cast vote records are not simply a "capability" of the machine, as Bena disingenuously claims here, they are the necessary means by which the machine ultimately arrives at a tally of our votes (allegedly).
The internal digital spreadsheet of cast vote records is therefore also a means by which the vote-count can be audited.
We want our public cast vote records. They are public property. They are a public record, per 84-712.01(1):
(1) Except when any other statute expressly provides that particular information or records shall not be made public, public records shall include all records and documents, regardless of physical form, of or belonging to this state, any county, city, village, political subdivision, or tax-supported district in this state, or any agency, branch, department, board, bureau, commission, council, subunit, or committee of any of the foregoing. Data which is a public record in its original form shall remain a public record when maintained in computer files.
Please enforce the Rights of We the People to verifiably honest elections. The only reason for a lack of transparency in our elections is fraud. You don't want to be party to that. The Truth will ultimately prevail and serve as a Judge.
No statute takes precedence over our basic, God-given and common sense constitutional Rights.
When our forefathers sought to secure our Rights, and the protection of our property, by instituting a government of just powers that only derives those powers from Our Consent, they also reserved for us the Right to alter or abolish that government when it became destructive of our Rights. Most of "government" is playing a very dangerous game right now, and not doing at all what they were commissioned to do.
The right of honest elections is the right that secures all other rights. The enemy knows this, and that is why they have gone after our elections.

God bless.
In recent days I too was contemplating what it meant to wait on the Lord. You are SO encouraging to me to write on that topic at this time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So good to know you've known the Lord for many years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Next week I feel I need to present at Douglas Co. the same message as I did yesterday in Lincoln, but without all the "um"s. To me, the more intelligent a person is, the fewer "um"s they speak. I'm pretty low IQ according to that standard, but neither but might nor by power nor by intellect, but His strength is made perfect in our weakness. No reason to fight that.
I was praying while driving to Lincoln yesterday about what I should say. That's when I decided on "Thank you for being willing to listen to so many angry people. As you can understand, the victims of crimes have a very hard time negotiating with their perpetrators very graciously" as a way to get them to realize they can't demand we be any more civil than we are.
Thank you for sharing your "waiting" perspective It was very interesting.
The AG letter will give him some fat to chew if he works for us .
Your a gifted writer Mr Borer and I enjoy reading the well thought out comments. I can bounce off your great wisdom when sending updates to the swamp creatures.
