I think it's a horrible idea.
I just can't understand why anyone would think that in the U.S. it's a good idea to let a private corporation run our elections for us, in secret using secret machines and secret software. That's insanity. We should never allow that.

Election integrity is a nonpartisan issue. Reduced to a personal and individual level, members of both parties despise the idea that THEIR personal vote could be hacked, diluted or negated by a fake voter, a fake ballot or a fake machine count.

Election fraud is also a nonpartisan issue. Members of both parties have been stealing elections for a long time.

To simply assume that black box voting machine companies are nonpartisan and not stealing/flipping/creating/selling votes is patently absurd.

Paper ballots are meaningless when votes are counted in secret and you can’t get access to the paper.

Voter ID is meaningless for the same reason.

“Audits” are meaningless when there’s no transparency to them.

Recounts are meaningless when there’s no transparency to them.

Both the NE 2020 General Election and the 2022 Primary were amended after certification, because of “recounts.” What recounts?? Why aren’t they automatically posted? Why should I have to ask for them???

I filed a Public Records Request for all documents related to the mysterious 2022 “recount.” (I’ll follow with the same request for 2020.) By law, they (the SoS office) are supposed to respond within four days. They said it would take over a month. I’m still waiting.

The Help America Vote Act (HAVA) was supposed to be the answer to the hanging chad problem of the 2000 Presidential election. It was a scam. Politicians were lobbied by the voting machine industry. HAVA only made things worse. Much worse.
