Dear Friends,
I’ll get right to it.
How is it possible for so many to become so corrupt?
The. Love. Of. Money.
For the love of money is the root of all [kinds of] evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (1Ti 6:10)
Please don’t misunderstand me.
Money itself isn’t the problem. Nor is using one’s talents and/or God-given wisdom to attain it.
It is the love of money that is the problem. And the love of it opens the door to all kinds of evil. (Note: You don’t have to have any money at all to love it.)
But they that will [desire to] be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. (1Ti 6:9)
We’re not just fighting for a righteous political and economic system. We’re fighting for the soul of our country. Our country is nothing without a soul.
For all to be well with our nation’s soul, God must be first…our first Love.
We all know of the parable of the rich (old?) fool, spoken by Jesus:
And he [Jesus] said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God. (Luk 12:15-21)
…and of the interaction Jesus had with a rich ruler:
And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God. Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother. And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up. Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich. And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. (Luk 18:18-25)
Here’s a list of passages that speak to riches, mostly from the book of Proverbs:
He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch. (Pro 11:28)
There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches. (Pro 13:7)
Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase. (Pro 13:11)
The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death. (Pro 21:6)
A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold. (Pro 22:1)
He that oppresseth the poor to increase his riches, and he that giveth to the rich, shall surely come to want. (Pro 22:16)
Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven. (Pro 23:5)
Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die: Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain. (Pro 30:7-9)
…and back to our original passage:
…godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. (1Ti 6:6-8)
…and the title was taken from this verse:
Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death. (Pro 11:4)
A couple of us are taking the day again to pray and fast for this land that we love [listen].’ Also, listen/watch this one.
In closing:
O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and thy glory, (Psa 63:1,2)
Join us for any part of it if you can.
God bless,
Have a prayerful thirst-day.

Today's Capt. Seth Keshel's substack seems to say that Arizona's Pima county had the second worst fraud in the whole state, where Maricopa county is known to top the list. Pima county was said in last December's legislative hearing to use ES&S machines, unlike Maricopa county that probably used Dominion.
I observe those who make more money are more convinced that proves their beliefs are true...they are less apt to embrace God's new things revealed through a more faith-filled reading of His Word, 2-3 witness near death experiences, and prophecies so they can be new wine skins
