Dear Friends,
First of all, I was overwhelmed (and still am), to the point of a tear or two, by how many friends showed up at yesterday’s hearing. I had no idea what to expect, especially since I hadn’t put out a reminder in the day or two before.
We had a very solid 50+ people, and I may well be underestimating, because the pics below were taken late in the afternoon and people had already left by then. (The hearing went the full 2 1/2 hours, which was great.)
Friends came from hours away in every direction. I can’t thank everyone enough for coming, for trying to come (some had to turn back because of weather conditions) and for praying (many texted and said they were praying). God bless you all. I love you all so much. Your friendship means everything. It was great to see every single one of you.
Together we have a movement and we will win this war.
My Statement
I won’t be able to share my entire statement in one post. I’ll have to share it in parts. Below are highlights from the first three (of six) pages.
[I began by stating, in so many words, that I’d like to remind everyone where government gets its power. I then proceeded to read from the Preamble and Article 1 of our State Constitution:]
We, the people, grateful to Almighty God for our freedom, do ordain and establish the following declaration of rights and frame of government, as the Constitution of the State of Nebraska.
All persons are by nature free and independent, and have certain inherent and inalienable rights; among these are life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and the right to keep and bear arms for security or defense of self, family, home, and others, and for lawful common defense, … [etc] and such rights shall not be denied or infringed by the state or any subdivision thereof. To secure these rights, and the protection of property, governments are instituted among people, deriving their just powers from the CONSENT of the GOVERNED.
I then followed with this:
Mr. Hearing Officer,
This isn't about me. This is about the God-given right of qualified voters across the state of Nebraska to exercise a real, honest, transparent, publicly verifiable elective franchise free from hindrance, free from impediment, free from interference, free from outside influence and free from fraud.
I then followed with this:
I'll start by providing context for my complaint.
It's the classic Problem. Reaction. Solution.
After the so-called election of 2000 between Bush and Gore, we heard what Reagan called the nine most terrifying words in the English language:
"I'm from the government, and I'm here to help."
These words came from our out-of-control central "government" after it had decided that ALL of America needed help voting.
Central government delivered their so-called help by passing the HELP AMERICA VOTE ACT of 2002, popularly referred to as HAVA.
The ACT enticed states to convert to dependence on a small handful of private, hackable black box machine vote-counting companies. The enticement to do so was free money ... as if free money was a real thing.
Secretaries across the nation took the BAIT.
All 93 of Nebraska's county elections were soon centralized by our Secretary in one of those private expensive black box vote-counting companies. Obviously, centralization is a bad actor's heyday.
All of OUR votes from that time forward have been counted behind closed doors by that one company with no one from the general public watching.
That company offers no transparency or accountability whatsoever to the general public to whom our elections belong.
Skipping down a few lines, I continued with this:
How each voter votes is a private matter. But how those votes are counted is everyone’s business.
…and then this:
The fact of the matter is, HAVA created a potential for election fraud that never existed before. The opportunity for fraud provided by electronic voting machines surpasses all previous opportunities for fraud in American elections put together.
When powerhouses like Amazon, and Apple, and Google, and the federal government and isolated Iranian centrifuges can all be hacked, you can bet our little black box vote-counting machines can be as well, if they aren't already programmed to manipulate votes in the course of normal business.
Our enemies employ hackers by the skyscraper full to work around the clock to hack our critical infrastructure, which includes our election systems.
Slowly cooking our elections over a few decades is enough to take down any country without firing a shot, and our enemies are well on their way.
…and then skipping down a bit, we come to perhaps my most favorite part:
The problem is a lack of transparency and public verifiability.
Evnen wants us to simply trust him.
We have no interest in trusting him.
We have no obligation to trust him.
Quite to the contrary.
We have every obligation to WATCH him.
Eternal VIGILANCE is the price of Liberty.
The salvation of the state is WATCHFULNESS in the citizen, not trust in the citizen. [engraved on our capitol - see below]
What good is “watchfulness” if we don't have the right to demand transparency and accountability from those sucking up our tax dollars?
That’s enough for today. Just “one” last thought. I had the hardest time writing my statement, for some reason. Normally, words come easier. But I worked on this day and night (12-15 hours a day) for the better part of 10 days or so. Maybe it was a spiritual battle. Part of it was a few days of feeling a little under the weather.
Anyway, thank you all again for your love and camaraderie.
Stay warm and may God richly bless you.
Your humble servant,
Robert J. Borer
Bob,
I want to thank you for speaking for all of all of us yesterday! It had to be difficult but your presentation was nearly unbelievable!! Evnen’s idiot was angry because he knew you have them in a corner. I’ll be calling them with my two cents.
Anyway, don’t give up! It’s obvious we all love you and we will continue to support you in whatever you decide to do! ❤️
Merry Christmas!
Karen
You did a great job Bob. I got to hear your speech and several others. I was praying for each of you. God bless you! Did you see the big sign in the hallway? How can any Christian allow such a big atheist sign to hang in oyr state capitol? I will send pic in case you did not see it. I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas!!
