God doesn't bless cowards
Dear Friends,
We don’t begin to truly live until we lose our fear of death (all cowards fear death…or they wouldn’t be cowards).
The first step, then, if we are going to make any real difference for the Kingdom of God in this life, is to make peace with our Maker, and be ready to die at any moment.
Evil abounds, and God’s call to us is to stand against that evil.
If we do not stand against it, we embrace it. There’s no middle ground.
If you don’t think evil abounds in our midst, try listening to this outstanding presentation by Seth Gruber. He’s incredibly articulate and witty. (He also refutes the middle ground fallacy.)
(I recommend coming back and listening/watching this later, as it’s a bit lengthy, but every bit worth it. … The one correction I’d make to what he says is that when God said “neither came it into my mind” (Jer 19:5), He meant it. Omniscience simply cannot be defined in such a way that it takes away from God his personhood, freedom and creativity.)
Our nation stands on the edge of a precipice.
In other words, we are extremely close to disaster. No man can save us without both God’s help and our repentance, and that includes Trump and our military.
