What a charade yesterday’s primary was.
Members of the America First Coalition were asked to write a letter to Congressman Jim Jordan about their respective state elections. Below is the letter I wrote on behalf of Nebraska. I was told these letters were personally handed to Congressman Jordan this past Monday. We are attacking from all angles in this fight for transparency and publicly verifiable accuracy in our elections. (Not knowing who actually wins only further divides us with every new so-called election we have. I expect the charade to end before the next general election. We’ll see.)
We were directed to follow the ethos/logos/pathos formula of writing with these letters. Here you go:
Nebraska Elections - Gold Standard or Soft Coup D'état??
Dear Congressman Jordan,
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the CONSENT of the governed."
Our form of government, our entire compound constitutional republic, is based on CONSENT. We the people not only have a right and duty to participate in that CONSENT, we have a right and duty to VERIFY that CONSENT.
The election of 2020 woke many Nebraskans up to the fact that we needed to start paying better attention. After we started doing so, we learned that Secretary of State offices across the country had handed control of elections over to private, profit-driven technology vendors that shroud the entire election process in secrecy and lawfare.
The Election Act of Nebraska's Legislature is based entirely on the advice and input of our Secretary. The Legislature has given him the final say on all "disputed points of election law." (NRS 32-201) That is too much power in one man. He uses it to trample on the inherent rights of citizen voters and county sovereignty.
Nebraska Citizens have realized they cannot simply assume, or trust, that our Secretary is honest and/or that he knows what he is doing by allowing a private vendor to conduct our elections. We cannot simply assume, or trust, that the secret, proprietary, digital, computerized "election" process used by this private vendor is giving us true and accurate CONSENT. It goes without saying that too much hangs in the balance.
Above the main entrance of Nebraska's Capitol Building is the following inscription: "The Salvation of the State is Watchfulness in the Citizen." Watchfulness, not assumption or trust. Our present Secretary refuses to allow Nebraska Citizens the Watchfulness necessary to verify their CONSENT.
So I decided to run for Secretary of State of Nebraska in 2022. The computerized "election" played out as usual. Citizens were not allowed to verify their CONSENT, even though they were left hanging with the hefty bill for the expensive secret process.
The private vendor behind that secret process is ES&S. The EAC certification document (pg 3) for ES&S tabulators states that they scan “the front and back of a paper ballot and/or vote summary card in any of four orientations for conversion of voter selection marks to electronic cast vote records (CVR).”
These "cast vote records" were standardized by NIST to allow the secret work of these tabulators to be audited. The intended audience included the general public. Nebraskans have not been allowed access to these public documents. Why? Why is the Secretary so resistant to Citizen Watchfulness? Why is he so resistant to transparency and verifiability, and to Citizens being able to verify their election results? Everyone should want this.
These secret tabulators were not sold to voters for their accuracy. Actually, they weren't sold to voters at all. They were sold to election officials for their speed in creating “election results" (and for the "federal funding" at the time).
Speed is not the priority in elections. The priority is accuracy—verifiable accuracy. Elections do not belong to election officials, candidates or corporations. They belong to We the People, the collective body politic. We have a right to know that a given election is honest. The only way to KNOW that is through transparency and verifiability.
Our Secretary touts "Logic & Accuracy Testing" (EAC) and selective precinct manual audits as proof of accuracy. They are not. A computerized "vote-counter" can very easily be programmed to compartmentalize fraud. It can count a "test deck" accurately, and then proceed to RIG any race and/or precinct in the county.
County election officials are not technology experts. They have no expertise in computer or wireless technology. When they make claims of accuracy, they are only expressing a belief in vendor talking points echoed by our Secretary. Not one of them can guarantee that their computerized tabulator isn't being abused, unless a full manual count is performed, every time. Which defeats the purpose of having them. The fact is, we don't need to have them. The fact is, we have a better system.
We must put a sudden, hard stop on computerized "elections" and return to the Gold Standard in elections before the 2024 general election. The Gold Standard is a common sense, precinct-based, manual approach that allows for public/citizen Watchfulness and verification. It has been around since elections became a thing. The Secretary uses it, in part, to perform his partial audits. But again, the problem with partial audits, is that the secret computerized tabulators can be programmed to compartmentalize fraud.
When we speak of a "Gold Standard" in elections, we are referring to the following:
— voter rolls that are transparent, verifiable and fixed before an election;
— paper ballots that cannot be counterfeited;
— law-enforcement-grade chain-of-custody on all ballots;
— one-day, in-person voting (with very few exceptions; exceptions must be verified by affidavit);
— precinct-based, publicly-verifiable hand counts (video-taped so anyone can audit);
— reconcilability between the number of people who voted and the number of votes
— accountability for all ballots prepared for and used in an election;
— results that are posted at the precinct level before being sent anywhere else.
None of which are presently being done.
Barring the secret voting booth, elections should be transparent and fully verifiable. Our constitutional republic depends on it. Watchfulness demands it. A process that is not transparent and fully verifiable must be regarded as a charade, a pretense, a simulation, that can easily be manufactured in a computerized process.
There is no easier way to execute a soft coup d'état against our form of government than by deceptively installing a secret computerized "voting" process that can secretly s-elect weak and/or corrupt people and place them in power.
If trying to overthrow government is treason, then trying to overthrow the CONSENT by which government is instituted is also treason.
I am asking you to call for and support a full investigation into computerized "elections." Both Democrats and Republicans have alleged that computerized voting machines can be hacked. And now we have proof from around the country.
This fight is about Liberty and Justice for all Americans. We need to be able to verify and reconcile every election transaction, barring the secrecy of everyone's vote. We need to pursue reconciliation of our election checkbook as if trillions of dollars and millions of Americans lives depended upon it. Because they do.

P.S.
As you saw yesterday, I’m now questioning the need for a secret ballot, that I mentioned in the letter above.
And since yesterday, I’m also questioning the need for voter rolls, primaries and political parties.
Why do we need voter rolls? Why not vote by legal ID and proof of citizenship?
Why do we need primaries? They only serve the special interests of political parties, at taxpayer expense.
Why do we need political parties? They only serve to divide and allow low information voters to vote by label (party affiliation).
How about a ballot with just names and no party affiliation??
Last thing—campaign finance needs fixing. Bad. Power belongs to the rich because they can buy their way in. Or rich corporations find themselves a puppet candidate and pay their way into office. All of this has to stop.
